Description

Knocked Down 55 Gallon Drum Cradle with 5" Hard Rubber Wheels – 1,000 lb Capacity

Handling a full 55 gallon steel drum takes control and balance.

This 55 gallon drum cradle with 5 inch hard rubber wheels helps you mix, drain, move, and store drums without heavy lifting. It’s designed for smooth and semi-smooth floors where you need steady rolling and solid support.

The frame is built from heavy-duty welded angle steel. It holds up to 1,000 pounds, so it can handle a full steel drum with confidence.

The retractable chime hook locks onto the top rim of the drum. The lower toes slide under the bottom chime during loading. This lets you rock the drum into position instead of lifting it straight up.

Oak handles extend from 43 1/2 inches to 64 inches. When extended, you get better leverage. That makes it easier to tip and balance the drum. When you’re done, both the handles and hook retract for compact storage.

Four 5" x 1 1/2" inboard mounted hard rubber wheels provide smooth rolling. The larger wheel size helps the cradle move easier over small floor seams and slightly rough concrete. Because the wheels are mounted inboard, they stay protected and keep the overall width narrow.

Steel rollers built into the frame allow you to rotate the drum while it’s in the horizontal position. That makes mixing and draining safer and more controlled.

An exclusive skid-resister frame design helps prevent slipping while loading.

This model ships knocked down in a box to reduce freight cost. Assembly is required. Once assembled, the frame measures 22" high, 18 1/2" wide, and 64" long. Total unit weight is 61 lb.

Note: Steel drums must be at least 29 inches high and have a top rim (chime) for the hook to engage.

Best Features

  • 1,000 lb Capacity: safely supports full 55 gallon steel drums
  • 5" Hard Rubber Wheels: smooth rolling on semi-smooth concrete
  • Retractable Oak Handles: extend for leverage, retract for storage
  • Drum Rotation Rollers: rotate drum easily for mixing or draining
  • Inboard Wheel Design: protects wheels and keeps width narrow
  • Skid-Resister Frame: improves stability during loading

Additional Description

This knock down drum cradle works well in warehouses, maintenance shops, and production areas.

You can position a drum horizontally for controlled dispensing into smaller containers. The 22-inch height keeps the drum at a workable level without being too high.

The larger 5-inch hard rubber wheels roll quieter than steel wheels and provide better grip. They’re a good choice when floors are smooth but not perfectly polished.

Because it ships unassembled, you save on freight cost. Once assembled, it stores easily and fits through tighter spaces thanks to the inboard wheel layout.

Loading follows a simple rock-over method:

Place the toes against the lower drum rim. Hook the top rim. Extend the handles fully. Step on the lower axle and pull back. The drum rocks into place in stages until all four wheels are on the floor.

This design reduces back strain and improves control.
