Description
Knocked Down 55 Gallon Steel Drum Cradle with 4" Steel Wheels – 1,000 lb Capacity
A full 55 gallon steel drum is heavy. You need control, not guesswork.
This 55 gallon steel drum cradle with 4 inch steel wheels helps you mix, drain, move, and store drums without lifting them by hand. It gives you steady balance and smooth rolling on clean concrete floors.
The frame is made from heavy-duty welded angle steel. It supports up to 1,000 pounds, so it can handle a fully loaded steel drum.
A retractable chime hook locks onto the top rim of the drum. The lower toes slide under the bottom rim during loading. This rock-over action lets you tip the drum into place instead of lifting it straight up.
The oak handles extend from 43 1/2 inches to 64 inches. When extended, you get extra leverage. That makes it easier to pull back and balance the load. When you’re done, both the handles and hook retract for storage.
Built-in steel rollers allow the drum to rotate while in the horizontal position. You can mix contents or control your pour without removing the drum.
An exclusive skid-resister frame design helps prevent slipping while loading.
This knock down (KD) model ships unassembled in a box to reduce freight cost. Assembly is required. Once assembled, the cradle measures 22 inches high, 18 1/2 inches wide, and 64 inches long. Unit weight is 59 lb.
The four 4" x 1" inboard mounted steel wheels are protected inside the frame. This keeps the cradle narrow and easier to move through tighter spaces. Steel wheels are best suited for smooth, chemical-free concrete floors.
If you handle steel drums often, this cradle improves safety and control while reducing strain.
This drum cradle works well in warehouses, maintenance areas, and production floors.
You can roll a drum into position, rotate it for blending, and drain into smaller containers without extra equipment. The 22-inch height keeps the drum at a workable level.
Because the wheels are mounted inboard, they stay protected from impact. The narrow frame also helps when moving through aisles or storing the cradle when empty.
Loading is simple:
Place the toes against the bottom drum rim. Hook the top rim. Extend the handles fully. Step on the lower axle and pull back. The drum rocks into place in stages until all four wheels rest on the floor.
This design lowers back strain and improves control.
