Lamp compactors provide an easy solution for disposing of fluorescent lamps while capturing dangerous mercury vapors in an activated carbon filter. 2" diameter receiving tube accepts any length lamp. Rear Tower accepts various size lamps. Each unit will pulverize approximately 1100 T12 lamps (even more T8's), filling the 55-gallon steel drum (sold separately). Both models are designed for use with a steel 55-gallon drum only. HEPA filtration guarantees superior air quality venting from the unit. Operates on 110V electric. 220V is available through special order.
HID Lamp Compactor uses a 4-plex blade and also accepts any length CFL tube. It features a 27 1/2" H x 5 1/2" W x 5" D box located at the rear of the unit that accepts various sizes of HID (high-intensity discharge) lamps. HID's are classified as hazardous waste.
Note: Prohibited for use in CA, VT, MN, MO, ME, CT, PA, NJ, RI, and WV. Facility permit required for use in NJ.
