Description
PolyJaws Plastic Drum Grabber for 30 and 55 Gallon Drums – Model 8PBL1
The PolyJaws plastic drum grabber is designed to safely lift and move plastic drums without damage. It grips securely without punctures, tears, or crushing, making it ideal when drum integrity matters.
This fork mounted drum grabber handles one closed-head plastic drum at a time in 30 or 55 gallon sizes. The forklift operator lifts, transports, and lowers drums without leaving the seat, improving safety and speed during routine handling.
The patented PolyJaws design uses smooth-action, spring-loaded jaws that tighten evenly around the drum’s top lip. This controlled grip reduces stress on the drum and lowers the risk of damage compared to rigid metal grabbers. It works with plastic drums that have a minimum 3/16-inch top lip (chime).
The compact design makes it easy to work in tight or confined spaces, such as crowded aisles or small storage areas. Drums can be picked up or set down with control, even where maneuvering room is limited.
Installation is quick and tool-free. The grabber slides onto forklift forks and locks in place using hand-tightened T-handle screws. Fork pockets measure 5 3/8 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high. Switching between 30 and 55 gallon drums is done by repositioning a lynch pin.
This unit is designed only for closed-head plastic drums. Steel drums and open-head plastic drums are not recommended.
The PolyJaws drum grabber ships UPS, knocked down and boxed for easy handling.
This plastic drum grabber is a good choice for facilities that handle plastic drums regularly and want to avoid damage caused by rigid clamps. The spring-loaded jaws apply even pressure, helping extend drum life.
Its lightweight design works well with smaller forklifts or operations where attachments need to be installed and removed quickly. Because no tools are required, operators can switch setups without downtime.
Warehouses, processing areas, and storage rooms with limited clearance benefit most from this grabber’s compact footprint and controlled grip.
