5 Gallon 28 Gauge Black Pail for Hazardous Products and Maintaining Integrity With a rust inhibitor primer interior* and a standard opening on the lid that accommodates the Rieke® Flexspout®, this open head 5-gallon steel pail features a sturdy 28 gauge steel body and 26 gauge steel bottom to keep sensitive items and their integrity for a long time (SKU 8FSII).
For easy holding and pouring, the black bucket comes with a 24 gauge steel lug cover and a metal bail handle with a plastic grip.
Steel containers for protection: 1A2/Y1.5/70** UN Rating*
IMPORTANT NOTE: Rust inhibitor put to the interior of unlined steel pails is a primer that helps prevent rust formation during transit and storage, not a preventative measure. Drums containing rust inhibitors can be stored for up to 30 days without rusting in optimum conditions (clean, low humidity).
Consider a phenolic or epoxy liner if empty drums will be stored for prolonged periods of time or in higher humidity conditions. **Note: The steel bucket has a UN rating of 1A2/Y1.5/70, which complies with 49 CFR regulations for some hazardous materials.
